Pulse plugs help recover wasted energy.

According to the California Energy Commission, less than 15% of the fuel pumped into a modern car actually moves the car down the road. Engine losses, driveline loss and engine idling are among the largest contributors to this gross inefficiency. Certainly there is room for improvement.

Pulse plugs improve engine efficiency at the very moment of ignition by increasing the spark volume and energy density. Increasing the energy density of the spark makes ignition more precise with less cycle-to-cycle variation resulting in better fuel economy and driving performance than available from spark plugs.

Driveline and engine losses

The air/fuel mixture in the cylinder is ignited with a precise and larger flame kernel extracting more work out of the fuel. More work equates to more engine torque for the same amount of fuel or less fuel required for the same amount of work. In essence: more power, better fuel economy and, due to burning fuel more completely, lower emissions.
